Scott Harrison

For my 100th episode, I’m inviting you to celebrate this milestone with me in a special way. Scott Harrison, founder and CEO of Charity: Water, is here to tell you that redemption is possible and together, we’re following his journey of second chances which now involves saving millions of people’s lives all around the world.

“…I wound up selling everything I owned, and deciding to kind of give one year of the 10 years I’d wasted in service to others…I was very fortunate that one organization said if I was willing to pay them $500 a month, and if I was willing to go live in the poorest country in the world, which at that time was post-war, Liberia, West Africa, then they would take me and I said, ‘Great, here’s my credit card number…’”

Join me, and Charity: Water, in our season of giving goal to build a well. I have committed to matching every donation (up to $2,500) in order to bring the gift of clean water to Charity: Water’s next project. You can share your gift at charitywater.org/bestlife.

Learn more about my campaign, Scott, and Charity: Water through Scott’s book Thirst: A Story of Redemption, Compassion and a Mission to Bring Clean Water to the World at charitywater.org/bestlife.

Mitzi Perdue is living one of the most fascinating lives. Besides being a hotel heiress, Mitzi has made a name for herself as a businesswoman, an award-winning author of 27 books, and a speaker. Andrea Owen

Andrea Owen says that after hitting rock bottom, she believed that life was tapping her on the shoulder and asking something more of her. And she went in search of that “more”. Today, she’s a certified life coach, best-selling author, podcast host and speaker.

“…At the end of the day, the thing that I walked away with was that I had for decades been hoping that I could find my happiness and my confidence and all the love in the world, from other people. Shira Miller

Shira Miller says her superpower is helping people get unstuck. She has transitioned from financial ruin to prosperity, from obesity to being well, finding love and living a purpose-driven Life.

“…It’s so easy to get trapped when you feel like maybe you’ve got imposter syndrome, or you see other people succeeding in a certain way, and you pretend to adopt a persona…Social media has only intensified it. When you’re looking at everybody else and thinking, ‘You know, I’ve got to have that dress that Kim Kardashian is wearing, or my life doesn’t matter…’ People are adopting behaviors that aren’t themselves. And that can really get you stuck.”

Chris Waddell

Perhaps the most widely known as the most decorated monoskier in US history, Chris Waddell went on to become the fastest in the world. If that’s not enough, as a paraplegic, he handcycled in a wheelchair all the way up to the summit of Mount Kilimanjaro.

“As an adult, we don’t give ourselves the recognition of the things that we’ve learned…like learning to walk, how miraculous is that to go from, this lump of baby, to actually being able to walk and we’ve all done it…or speaking, you know, learning to talk is the same kind of thing. And I get to see that in skiing, yes, where I got to go from effectively the lump of baby to like, ‘Oh, wow, l can balance and then I can sort of turn and I can turn better.’ And it was the hardest, and coolest, thing that I’ve been through.”
